When I tried posting this random music started blasting on my phone. 😂 Murphy's Law strikes again! Will make a post with the Plan A content soon.

The most common feedback we get about our wood wicks is "it's not staying lit".

Usually this is due to not trimming the wick when the charred section becomes too large.

The good news is that this is a super simple fix!

When you notice that the flame seems like it is flickering a lot, burning small, or not staying lit, check for a charred section at the top of the wick. Gently tap the very top of the charred part so that it breaks off. If there is no melted wax in the candle, you can flip it over so the broken pieces don't land in the wax. Try re-lighting the candle and see if it burns better.

Note: avoid removing too much of the wick at once. If you happen to trim your wick too short, you can fix this by scooping out some of the wax around the wick with a spoon. Soy wax is very soft, making this an easy (although undesirable) fix. It is better to leave a wick a little long than trim it too short so you don't lose any of your candle unnecessarily!

Have you had trouble with wood wicks? Did this help? Let us know in the comments! Don't forget to save this reel for later!
