It's my favorite time of the year! 🧵❤️
The longarms are humming, the quilts keep coming, and This Chick Quilt is officially in full swing! While a bum knee has slowed me down a little (thanks to some troublemaking crab-apples 🍎), the machines haven't missed a beat.
I'm currently running about a 2-3 week turnaround and working hard to get every quilt finished and back where it belongs.

One of my FAVORITE things to do when longarming is to use different threads on top and bobbin. Typically, I lean toward colors with similar saturations since it makes any tension issues less noticeable. But occasionally, you get a project that requires total opposites in the spectrum. On this quilt, that's a DARK purple on the top thread, and an almost WHITE thread in the bobbin. Getting the tension right to pull it off is tricky, but SO worth it.

The longarms are getting a workout! Check out this memory quilt I've been working on for a customer. Yes... those are all bags from CR bottles!!
