I love decorating for fall, but Halloween? Not usually my thing! So when the kids wanted a little spooky added to the house, I found the cutest way to make everyone happy without spending a fortune or turning our home into a haunted house! 😂

Would you believe our outdoor fireplace started as an Amazon find?! 🤯🔥

Welcome back to another episode of “Why We Chose What We Chose!”

When we started planning our outdoor space, I knew I wanted a beautiful, custom-looking fireplace. What I DIDN’T want was the $20,000–$30,000 price tag we were getting quoted from multiple companies!

So we went a different route.

We ordered an outdoor fireplace from Amazon, had our landscapers assemble it, and a plumber connect the gas. A couple of years later, we decided to take it one step further and cover it in thin brick to give it that timeless, built-in look.

Is it still the cheapest option? No.

But did we get the look we wanted for LESS THAN HALF of what we were quoted for a custom fireplace? YES! 🙌🏻

And that’s exactly why we chose what we chose. Sometimes it’s not about finding the cheapest option. It’s about knowing where to spend and where to save!

We took an overlooked upstairs landing and turned it into the prettiest little home office, proving that you don’t need an entire room to create something beautiful and functional!

The warm wood desk, cozy chair, and gallery wall completely changed the feel of this space. And honestly, it’s the little details that make it feel so special!

Sometimes the spaces you overlook have the most potential!

3 things I wish I knew before choosing LVP 👇

1️⃣ Not all LVP is created equal. Ours are extra long and wide — they call them longboards — and the thickness and quality make all the difference. Always compare the specs, not just the photos.

2️⃣ Not all brands have matching stair treads. Without them you’re stuck custom stain-matching (never a perfect match), plus extra labor and extra money.

3️⃣ Order a FREE sample or sample box FIRST. It’s worth the extra $100 or so to get it right — and it can save you thousands on a floor you’ll live with for years.

It was the little feet running down the hallway. The laughter around the dinner table. The messy kitchens, the late nights, the ordinary moments that somehow become your favorite memories.

Because years from now, nobody will remember whether your house was perfect.

If you spend your weekends on the sidelines, you NEED this chair! 😂👏

Because why are we still carrying those giant folding chairs that smack us in the calves, take out our Achilles, and practically knock us over every time we walk?!

This little chair is SO lightweight, folds up small enough to fit in my purse, and means I can finally walk to my kids’ games without fighting for my life. 😂

Soccer, baseball, camping, tournaments... this is officially my new sideline essential!
