Tip of the day : Should your candle burn unevenly due to a draft consider this. Carefully push the wick towards the higher side. If this causes dripping, extinguish the flame, let it cool for an hour, then relight the candle. Repeat this practice a few times and the candle will repair itself.

I have always loved doing henna on my hands.. So the idea to do henna on my candles crossed my mind.. I got a wax pen from my craft store.. I got it in red color keeping in mind that my candle would be ready around Christmas time.. So, I started off with a plain vanilla square candle.. and then did free hand heena over it to give it an embossed design..

These are made with 2-piece molds.. Carefully arrange your wick along the wick slot and place the other half of the mold and seal the two molds together..I use lots of stationary pins for that.. now, place the mold inside a pile of sand so that it doesnt move.. Use wet sand.. Now fill the mold from the open end..After the candle is complete, you can paint it, use glitters over it or whatever you want to do with it.. There are different types of molds available, like flowers, clowns, christmas trees etc etc :)

These candles look like snowflakes have been embedded into them.. These are made by adding a lot of essential oils into your wax just before pouring it into your mold.. Then let the candle be formed very slowly.. the ways to achieve this is by preheating your metal mold before pouring wax into it.. Also, you can cover the mold with any big utensil so that the candle doesn't cool down easily.. and you would achieve a snowflake effect :)

These candles are made by pouring hot wax over crushed ice cubes... But dont attemp that inside ur freezer, use a candle...

Tip of the day: Refrigerating candles for a few minutes before burning extends burning time slightly. Care must be taken since refrigerating for too long may cause cracks in the candle.

make small chunks of wax.. be creative with ur shapes.. dont restrict to squares.. I made circles, triangles, hearts, flowers and even alphabets.. fill your mold with these chunks and then pour "not very hot" wax.. U dont want to melt your chunks, right!!... and voila, u have ur own hand-made elegant candle :)... have fun with it
