If this ain’t the most country morning you ever did see… I don’t know what is 🤠
Plein Airpril Day 10 looked like this: Me, sitting outside with my paints
My little guy in his pack n play, munching on Goldfish and chirping right back at the birdies 🐦
And a very on-brand subject… our outhouse-themed birdhouse 😂
These are the moments I don’t ever want to forget. Slow mornings, sunshine, and creating right alongside my boy.
I painted this piece plein air, soaking in all the sounds (and snack breaks) that came with it.
is quickly becoming one of my favorite traditions—not just for the art, but for the memories being made along the way 🤍

My newest original watercolor is officially live in my Etsy shop 🤍

This rustic barn painting captures the quiet beauty of the countryside—weathered wood, a worn blue roof with missing shingles, and doors forever left open. There’s something about these old, forgotten places that just feels like they still have a story to tell.

If you love farmhouse decor, rustic wall art, and original watercolor paintings, this piece was made for you.

✨ Original artwork
✨ 10.2 x 7 inches
✨ Painted on 100% cotton watercolor paper

These one-of-a-kind pieces don’t last long in my shop—once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Plein Airpril Days 5 & 6 🌿✨

Day 5 fell on Easter, and it felt only right to paint something that whispered new life. A single crocus popped up in my front garden—small, quiet, but full of promise. I captured it with watercolor and gouache, thinking about how these tiny blooms always show up first… a gentle reminder that sunnier days are on their way 🤍

Day 6 carried that same feeling forward. My momma gave me an Easter lily, and I spent some time painting it in watercolor—soft, simple, and full of meaning.

There’s something really special about slowing down to notice these little gifts, especially in a season that’s all about renewal. Art has a way of helping me hold onto these moments just a little longer 🌸

Which would you choose to paint—something growing wild outside, or something gifted with love?

Plein Airpril Day 4

Thank you Lord for such a BEAUTIFUL day 🌞
There’s something so special about slowing down and savoring the simple moments 🤎✨

Today for Plein Airpril, my husband built me a fire while I sat outside painting a rusty old Radio Flyer wagon filled with wood. The air was crisp, the fire was warm, and my little guy was right beside me in his pack & play—just content being close.

It wasn’t fancy or perfectly planned… but it was full. Full of peace, gratitude, and the kind of joy that sneaks up on you when you’re not rushing.

This one might just be my favorite day yet. 🥹🔥🎨
