The Burn
I have always been the go getter. An Amish friend of mine needed elementary school desks for a school he was building. After finding the desks I needed some chairs to go with them. I went to the Face of Book and located 150 blue chairs from the university. I bought them ALL!!! When I took them to my friend he looked at me and smiled and said “oh, them are going to be slow sellers”. Only taking 20 I decided to challenge my wife into a DIY project on the chairs we had left for an extra income.
We decided to make sets of chairs. One set was all sanded down then stained and reupholstered. Another was sanded painted and then reupholstered. We planned on leaving a set sanded with a natural look. The last set I wanted to make was the wood burned set. I had seen wood burning videos online before and thought it looked AMAZING. Every video i’d seen made sure to give BIG warnings that YOU COULD/CAN DIE from trying this.
So wanting to try wood burning I bought the neon transformer and put the wires together. That night I was like a little kid in the candy store, so excited to electrify wood. I ran every piece of wood I could see loose lying around. Then I started on the chairs.... First one done and on to the second. Half way through the seat the neon transformer switch gives out. Heart broken, I write a review to the company and get back on YouTube to find away to make my own burner...... EVEN MORE DANGEROUS!
The microwave transformer puts out WAY more AMPS then a neon transformer. However, the look is OUTSTANDING. See where my journey has taken off!!
