And that’s a wrap on 4th, 2nd, and Kindergarten 🍎

Told myself I wouldn’t cry at drop off. I didn’t cry at the first drop, but on the way to the second one, with my oldest sitting across from me in the front seat as a special treat, I had to pause sharing affirmations over her and her day. The emotions of how quickly they are growing caught up to me and got caught in my throat. In the last decade of parenthood I have discovered how much more I feel the close of a chapter verses the start of a new one. And it’s because I’m closing a season of life that was SO good. Sure there are hardships and challenges along the way, but the best parts always shine through. And each chapter has been a blessing over and over again, making it a tear-inducing occasion when I have to say goodbye. But in his graciousness, the Lord always gives a new chapter to begin and make even better than the last. So thankful for that gift and for the privilege of being a mom and watching my children grow and thrive. Summertime unofficially begins as soon as that school bell rings, and it’s kicking off a new chapter yet again! I’ve got all the excitement for the goodness that awaits! 💧🍉🕶️🌴
