Well,

It’s been a trying month. We are on a food strike, I don’t know. We’re eating very little, so cranky, I just don’t know. We are cutting another two teeth, one bigger on the upper left opposite of where we just cut the one on the right so that could be it?

Everybody has littlee runny noses and little coughs cause it’s just spring/summer cold season

But, we did do a taco table the other night, and Cain actually did eat some tortilla, which is new for him so I’ll take that as a win. 🥇

What a crazy week or two it’s been🤪

Cain has 2 teeth coming in, one of his front bottoms and another on the top on the side. So eating for him has been all over the place.

Not to mention, we were having consistent early morning wake when our daily wake time is seven so it was time to cut back to one nap

That my friends is an absolute dog and pony show. Going to straight five hour wake windows is intense. And figuring out things to do to stretch those wake windows is even more intense.

There is now two meals before nap and usually a bath that follows just to help keep him awake until 12 or 1230

Then it takes a while for naps to get long because they’re overtired so it’s just been a trial 😩😵😬

But

Breakfast today was fried potatoes and eggs

Lunch was refried beans(leftover from tacos the other night) and rotisserie chicken

Dinner was pizza with garlic bread and meatballs (left over from homemade spaghetti

Left overs for lunch !

We had chicken tacos last night and we’re gonna eat it up !

Refried beans on a tortilla was not a big hit. He loves refried beans, but I still cannot get him to eat a tortilla.

I rolled up his taco last night and he opened it up and took the chicken out

I thought maybe doing beans on a tortilla he would eat it, but that was still a hard no so he just got some beans on the side With chicken & a little cheese 🧀

We do try to avoid Ge**er for grabbing go snacks just because they’ve had so many issues and stuff in the past it’s really not our favorite go to

I’m still a believer of things and moderation. You want to go for a walk in the summer and get some ice cream? Why not?

I don’t always buy snacks on the go that are made by baby companies. That is also something that I take into consideration when buying it. 

Sometimes my 12 month old is going to get the same Nutri-Grain bar that my three-year-old is eating.

When it comes to how you feed your child, I don’t judge 

I mean, somebody deserves to enjoy their 1st bday cake ☺️🥹

Dinner is a little different tonight.

It’s just us since big kids are with grandma and grandpa.

Tonight he didn’t wanna eat what was offered at dinner and I even offered him something else, but he just wasn’t having it.

So when I took him out, I realized he was getting warm and he just didn’t feel good

After a bath and some cuddling, a little bit of Tylenol, he perked up a bit and wanted to play, so that’s why I took the opportunity to heat up just some plain pancakes that I had in the freezer.

From a bag- mini pancakes. Along with some little melty loops made with quinoa

And we ate right on our nugget, right where we were playing

We got about 1/4 bag bag of quinoa snacks, and maybe three or four mini pancakes.

Tonight, I’m calling that a win.

Super easy ! Good for on the go too!

(if I ate broccoli, I would probably put this on repeat )

Tortilla (I used the small kind)
Cooked broccoli
Cream cheese, and then some sort of shredded

Assemble a tortilla, wrap, and then I put it in the pan just to brown it a little bit on each side and voilà ☺️

you could also put a meat in here or any vegetable you wanted!

* the grapes were not really eaten. He is not a fruit person. He would rather have a broccoli and carrot pancake, then mashed berries. My older two kids are fruit obsessed.

Lunch today

We had pan seared chicken with noodles and Alfredo & and it all was just played with and thrown on the floor.

I gave him strips of chicken and bite-size to see if maybe he preferred one or the other, but he ain’t nothing. So no Lunch today

And that’s just the way it is sometimes. A pouch was offered a little later on with a little bit eaten out of it, but he’s just not feeling it right now
