A jar of home-canned pinto beans is one of my favorite pantry staples! 🤎

No soaking overnight. No last-minute meal planning. Just open a jar, heat, and serve.

These pinto beans are pressure canned for 90 minutes and become the perfect shelf-stable convenience food. Add them to soups, burritos, chili, taco bowls, or enjoy them as a simple side dish. It takes a little time upfront, but having ready-to-use beans on the shelf is such a gift on busy days.

From dry beans to dinner in a jar. 🫙✨

Bruce is our most friendly peacock… and definitely our most curious. 🦚

He’s always the first to investigate anything new, the first to greet us when we’re outside, and somehow always manages to find himself right in the middle of whatever is going on. He also has a special talent for getting into mischief. 😂

Today was berry patch moving day! 🫐🍓

We transplanted the berries from Dad’s old garden to their new home in the front yard. It was incredibly hot, and by the end we were tired, sweaty, and ready for a cold drink, but we got her done!

Now we are praying these plants thrive in their new location and bless our family with a bountiful harvest for years to come.

“The LORD will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest.” — Psalm 85:12

One step closer to the garden we’ve been dreaming of. 🌱❤️

Good morning, friends. ☀️

Just a quiet walk around the farm, saying good morning to the chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, and peacocks. These simple moments are some of my favorite parts of the day. I’m so thankful for the beauty of creation, the peaceful rhythm of farm life, and another day to enjoy it all.

“This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24

Walking through the garden at sunset and soaking in the beauty of another prep day. The garden is growing, the pantry is filling, and my heart is looking forward to Shabbat tomorrow.

What a gift it is to have a set-apart day for rest, prayer, study, and family. A day without guilt. A day to slow down, breathe, and remember what all of this hard work is for.

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” — Exodus 20:8

Sometimes the best memories are built with a drill in one hand and a kid beside you. 🤍

We turned our little cow barn into a new bird house, and while I’m definitely no carpenter… I think it turned out pretty good. More importantly, the kids and I had the best time working together, learning as we went, and making something with our own hands.

“These are the moments they’ll remember.” 🐓🪺

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for YHWH and not for men.” — Colossians 3:23

There is something so special about this simple life. 🌾
Barefoot kids running through the yard, animals waiting for breakfast, sunsets over the pasture, fresh air, slow moments, and a home filled with love.

I never want to take these little blessings for granted. The ordinary moments truly become the sweetest memories. 🤍

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above.” — James 1:17

So thankful for this life, this family, and the beauty YHWH has created all around us. 🕊️
