🧁 Suji Orange Cake (With Egg)
🥣 Ingredients
• 1 cup suji (rava / semolina)
• 2 eggs
• ½ cup sugar (powdered)
• ½ cup fresh orange juice
• ¼ cup oil (sunflower/vegetable)
• ½ cup curd (yogurt) (for softness)
• 1 tsp orange zest
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp baking soda
• 1 pinch salt
• 1 pinch orange food color (optional)
• 2–3 tbsp milk (if needed)

👩🍳 Step-by-Step Method
1️⃣ Soak the suji
• Mix suji + curd + orange juice
• Rest for 15–20 mins

2️⃣ Beat eggs & sugar
• Beat eggs + sugar for 2–3 mins until light & slightly fluffy

3️⃣ Combine
• Add egg mixture into soaked suji
• Add:
• oil
• orange zest
• salt
• food color
• Mix gently

4️⃣ Adjust batter
• Consistency: thick but flowing
• Add milk if needed

• Add baking powder + baking soda
• Fold gently (don’t overmix)

🔥 6️⃣ Cooking Methods (Choose One)

🥘 A. Cooker Method (Gas Stove)
Prepare cooker
• Use pressure cooker (no whistle, no gasket)
• Add 1–1.5 cups salt or a stand
• Preheat 8–10 mins on medium flame
Bake
• Grease tin with white oil and place butter paper, pour batter
• Place inside cooker
• Close lid (no whistle)
Flame timing
• Medium flame → 5 mins
• Low flame → 30–40 mins
Check
• Toothpick clean = done
• Else cook 5–10 more mins

Preheat
• Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) for 10 mins
Bake
• Grease cake tin with white oil and place butter paper and pour batter
• Place in middle rack
Baking time
• Bake for 30–35 mins
Check
• Toothpick comes out clean = ready

• Rest cake 10 mins before removing
