🧁 Suji Orange Cake (With Egg)

🥣 Ingredients
• 1 cup suji (rava / semolina)
• 2 eggs
• ½ cup sugar (powdered)
• ½ cup fresh orange juice
• ¼ cup oil (sunflower/vegetable)
• ½ cup curd (yogurt) (for softness)
• 1 tsp orange zest
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp baking soda
• 1 pinch salt
• 1 pinch orange food color (optional)
• 2–3 tbsp milk (if needed)



👩‍🍳 Step-by-Step Method

1️⃣ Soak the suji
• Mix suji + curd + orange juice
• Rest for 15–20 mins



2️⃣ Beat eggs & sugar
• Beat eggs + sugar for 2–3 mins until light & slightly fluffy



3️⃣ Combine
• Add egg mixture into soaked suji
• Add:
• oil
• orange zest
• salt
• food color
• Mix gently



4️⃣ Adjust batter
• Consistency: thick but flowing
• Add milk if needed



5️⃣ Add rising agents
• Add baking powder + baking soda
• Fold gently (don’t overmix)



🔥 6️⃣ Cooking Methods (Choose One)



🥘 A. Cooker Method (Gas Stove)

Prepare cooker
• Use pressure cooker (no whistle, no gasket)
• Add 1–1.5 cups salt or a stand
• Preheat 8–10 mins on medium flame

Bake
• Grease tin with white oil and place butter paper, pour batter
• Place inside cooker
• Close lid (no whistle)

Flame timing
• Medium flame → 5 mins
• Low flame → 30–40 mins

Check
• Toothpick clean = done
• Else cook 5–10 more mins



🔥 B. Oven Method

Preheat
• Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) for 10 mins

Bake
• Grease cake tin with white oil and place butter paper and pour batter
• Place in middle rack

Baking time
• Bake for 30–35 mins

Check
• Toothpick comes out clean = ready



❄️ Cooling (for both methods)
• Rest cake 10 mins before removing
• Cool completely before cutting

First ilish in USA and the feeling is priceless! Fresh ilish fry with hot steamed rice, kacha lonka and a little macher tel with nun-jhal makhiye kheye nilam. Simple Bengali food but full of nostalgia and happiness. Sometimes the simplest plate gives the biggest joy. 🐟🍚🌶️

Even though I am far from my home country, my heart always craves simple Bengali food. Today’s comfort plate is Panta Bhat with onion, green chilli, mustard oil and pure nostalgia. Sometimes the simplest food brings the biggest happiness. Bengali food is not just food, it’s emotion and memories of home. 🍚🌶️

Craving spicy ramen after shifting to America 🔥🍜, I finally found my favorite at a local Asian market! Today I tried Paido Volcano Chicken Noodles, a Korean ramen known for its intense spicy flavor 🌶️🔥.

The heat level is no joke—it starts mild but quickly turns into a fiery challenge! Perfect for spice lovers who enjoy bold, Korean-style instant noodles. Honestly, one of the best ramens I’ve ever had and easily among the spiciest in the world 😅

If you’re in the U.S., you can easily find this ramen in most Asian grocery stores. A must-try for all spicy food lovers!
