After years of searching for answers about his health, 22-year-old Jacob and his family finally found some at Mayo Clinic, where specialists diagnosed him with bronchiolitis obliterans, a rare and irreversible lung disease. His doctors continue to investigate other health concerns, making ongoing specialized testing and follow-up care an important part of his medical journey.
Jacob now needs to return to Mayo Clinic in Arizona for additional appointments and testing, but because of his severe lung disease and breathing issues, flying isn’t an option. His family must drive from Oregon to Arizona, bringing added costs for gas, lodging, food, and other travel expenses.
With only days remaining before they need to leave, Jacob’s family is fundraising to make the trip possible so his Mayo specialists can continue searching for answers and guiding his care.
