Here's something I felt strongly about when I built Procurement Studio: no gated features.

So many programs hold back the good stuff until you upgrade. A few of my beta testers told me they love their current clipper but not the clunky software or the price tag that comes with it. I get it, and I didn't want that for you.

Every plan gets every feature. The tiers are only about seats, because more seats means more memory and maintenance on my end. That's it.

Starter: one designer seat and up to 3 active projects. Archived projects never count against you.
Pro: up to 3 seats and unlimited active projects.
Team: up to 5 seats and unlimited active projects.

Every entry starts as a set of numbers.

Eighteen inches for the bench seat. Sixty-three for the hooks. Six to ten above the console for the mirror.

Then it becomes a drawing your client can actually understand, and your installer can actually build from.

This is the part of the job I love: turning the measurements in your notes into a clean, dimensioned elevation that answers questions before anyone has to ask them.

Most rooms don't need more light. They need light at three heights.

Overhead, table level, and something low or accent. Miss one and the room feels flat, no matter how good the furniture is.

It's the first thing I check on a lighting plan, and the easiest cozy upgrade there is once the sun starts setting at 6:30.

Overhead: your ambient base, a pendant, chandelier, or flush mount
Table level: lamps on consoles, side tables, and desks
Low or accent: picture lights, sconces, candles, or a lamp on a bookshelf

Walk into any room this week and count your levels. Two or fewer? That's your next move.

Procurement is where so many projects get stuck in the messy middle. Product links in one place, specs in a spreadsheet, proposals in another program, and order updates buried in your inbox.

So I built something to bring it all together.

Procurement Studio is my new app for interior designers. It takes you from sourcing to client proposals to purchase orders, order tracking, and project reports, all in one place. I built it as a trained interior designer, so it follows the way our projects actually move.

The first thing I think about in an entryway is how it feels the second the door opens.

Hi, I'm Sarah, the trained interior designer behind Pence Creative. Most days I'm in the trenches with other interior designers, handling the floor plans, renderings, and presentations that keep their projects moving. I also work directly with homeowners through virtual design.

What I bring to a project is both sides of the work: a clear sense of how a space should feel, and the technical skill to show exactly how it'll function.

In an entryway, first impression and function have to work together. This one is narrow, so instead of fighting the width, I opened it up with an archway into the adjacent space. It borrows room from next door, so you walk in and the entry feels open instead of tight.

The rendering is still in progress, and I can't wait to show you the finished version.

Stop sketching at 9 PM because you spent your entire afternoon chasing freight quotes.

I don't handle physical receiving, tracking, or warehouse logistics in my own studio—my virtual design practice was built intentionally around clients who don't require that layer of service. But I see this pattern playing out across the industry every single week.

Designers finish presentation phases with so much creative momentum, only to hit the lowest point of the entire project during procurement.

Your client is hearing crickets because there are no aesthetic updates to share. Meanwhile, you are burning your daylight hours tracking down backordered yardage, waiting on fabric dye lot approvals, and disputing receiving warehouse fees.

Because showroom reps and freight dispatchers only answer between 9 and 5, your actual design work gets kicked to the curb. Finish schedules, lighting plans, millwork details—they all get bumped to late evenings and quiet weekends.

You did not build an interior design studio to spend forty hours a month acting as a freight dispatcher.

Our industry and the world around us is rapidly changing and the tech just keeps getting better (sometimes worse), so it's something I do often. Why? Because I want to stay on the up and up in terms of security and integrity and I want drop as many paid subscriptions for things that store MY work as possible.
