Renovating within a Mies van der Rohe landmark requires an acute sensitivity to proportion, materiality, and origin.
For this dual bathroom transformation on Lake Shore Drive, the objective was twofold: establish a singular design vocabulary across both spaces while allowing each to express its own subtle identity.
To honor our client’s affinity for stone, floor-to-ceiling tilework elevates the marble’s natural veining into a primary architectural element. Custom floating vanities provide graphic weight, completed with bespoke integrated pulls and flush-mounted medicine cabinets concealed seamlessly within the mirrored planes.
A study in restraint, precision, and enduring materials.
