If a plant leans toward the light, it’s probably asking for a rotation. πŸ”„ Move pots around slowly, rotate about 90 degrees each week, and clean windows to let more light in. Using light color walls or even a mirror will help reflect light around low lit areas.

For rooms with truly low light, consider a small grow light on a timer to give them steady, even exposure without heating the room.

Tropical houseplants miss the summer humidity. πŸ’§ Help create a mini microclimate by grouping plants together, using a pebble tray, or running a small humidifier nearby. Even modest humidity boostsβ€”especially for begonias and hoyasβ€”cut down browning edges and keep leaves glossy through the dry months.

Do you ever wonder if your plant is receiving enough water (or too much)?πŸ’§

First, before watering we suggest you use a moisture meter or test the top 1-2 inches of soil - only water if dry. Then if watering is needed, we suggest that you fully water your plants until water is draining out the bottom, or to use the bottom watering method. πŸͺ΄

Make a pebble tray easily within minutes, and help boost the humidity around your plants.

All you really need are; a tray (plate, or saucer), pebbles, and water.

Place the pebbles in the tray, add a bit of water, and set your plants on top or near by.

πŸ‘‰ We also suggest adding some mosquito bits (or something similar) to the water to keep the gnats away.

January is the perfect time for a gentle plant health check.

πŸ‘‰ Inspect leaf undersides for pests
πŸ‘‰ Look for yellowing or soft stems
πŸ‘‰ Lift pots to feel the weight of the soil before watering

A small monthly check-in prevents overwatering and helps you spot pests early. Consistency now keeps your plants steady through winter and ready to burst into growth come spring.
