This kids’ bathroom was ready for a whole new layout and a little coastal personality. 🌊

We relocated the closet to make room for a larger vanity with more storage and replaced the tub/shower with a walk-in shower. A better floor plan made all the difference.

For the coastal modern direction, we paired soft blue tile with warm teak wood, brushed gold finishes, and woven details. Running the tile behind the vanity ties the space together!

Final reveal of this kids’ bathroom with a little mid-century inspiration! 💙

We chose blue tile with lots of shade variation for a playful feel, with a vertical stacked layout to keep the lines clean. A warm wood vanity with reeded details adds texture, while gold fixtures and lighting pull it all together.

Such a fun mix of color and warmth and a bathroom these kids can grow into!

A few days in Indianapolis, lots of beautiful plumbing, and a really great group of people. ✨

Thanks to my reps at Altherm Daiana Vinceslao and Best Plumbing 𝔸𝕝𝕚𝕤𝕠𝕟 ♡︎, Zulie Lozada, I had the chance to visit Delta’s headquarters for an event featuring Delta, Brizo, and Newport Brass. We got to see the products up close, learn more about what goes into them, and spend time with the people behind the brands.

Delta put on an incredible event. They were generous hosts, and it was clear how much they care about their products and the people who use them. I came home with new ideas for my clients—and some very good memories from the trip.

Thank you to the Delta team for having us, to my reps for the invitation, and to the whole group for making it such a fun few days! 🤍

The details are in the transitions. ✨

Let’s talk about what happens when tile and stone meet.

The terrazzo floor tile was one of the key materials selected early in this design concept. Because it didn’t come with coordinating pieces for the shower curb, bench, niche shelves, or countertop, each additional material needed to be selected carefully.

So we introduced a gray penny-round mosaic on the shower floor, pulling from the subtle gray pieces within the terrazzo. A clean white surface was then carried across the countertop, shower curb, bench, and to connect the different areas and give the eye a place to rest.

Three distinct materials—none of them an exact match but each one relates to the next through its color and tone.

These transitions may feel like small details, but they’re what make the finished bathroom feel cohesive, intentional, and beautifully put together. 🤍

The bathroom floor is one of those key materials I think about early when designing a bathroom. It can bring movement, warmth, pattern and character, and sometimes its a statement piece or a beautiful pairing that ties in the rest of the room flawlessly.

Project Reveal - Swipe for Before 📷

My clients wanted this hall bathroom to feel light, fresh, and coastal. We paired soft blue subway tile with white penny floor tile, a warm white oak vanity, crisp white countertops, and simple wall paneling to create a space that's classic, relaxed, and perfect for guests. Finished with a beach-inspired print, it feels like a little coastal getaway right at home. 🌊🤍

Lakehouse Primary Bathroom

This primary bathroom in Lake Mohegan was completely reimagined to feel lighter, more open, and intentionally designed.

The existing layout felt closed in and limited the functionality of the space. By reworking the shower and vanity locations, we created a more expansive layout, allowing for a larger double vanity and a brighter, more breathable shower.

The design direction leaned into a refined lakehouse aesthetic, layering natural materials, soft textures, and warm finishes for a space that feels both elevated and relaxed.

We grounded the design with a tumbled gray stone floor, adding subtle movement and an organic, timeworn feel.

In the shower, we created contrast and depth through material layering—white glazed brick tile on the upper walls brings in light and texture, while Carrara marble on the lower half adds softness and ties back to the overall palette.

A semi-custom wood inset vanity anchors the space, adding warmth and richness, balanced by a crisp Carrara countertop and classic plumbing fixtures.

We incorporated mixed metals throughout for a collected look and added white shiplap and a oak ceiling detail to introduce subtle coastal character.

The result is a space that feels calm, elevated, and designed to be lived in every day. One of my favorite designs to date!
