Lakehouse Primary Bathroom

This primary bathroom in Lake Mohegan was completely reimagined to feel lighter, more open, and intentionally designed.

The existing layout felt closed in and limited the functionality of the space. By reworking the shower and vanity locations, we created a more expansive layout, allowing for a larger double vanity and a brighter, more breathable shower.

The design direction leaned into a refined lakehouse aesthetic, layering natural materials, soft textures, and warm finishes for a space that feels both elevated and relaxed.

We grounded the design with a tumbled gray stone floor, adding subtle movement and an organic, timeworn feel.

In the shower, we created contrast and depth through material layering—white glazed brick tile on the upper walls brings in light and texture, while Carrara marble on the lower half adds softness and ties back to the overall palette.

A semi-custom wood inset vanity anchors the space, adding warmth and richness, balanced by a crisp Carrara countertop and classic plumbing fixtures.

We incorporated mixed metals throughout for a collected look and added white shiplap and a oak ceiling detail to introduce subtle coastal character.

The result is a space that feels calm, elevated, and designed to be lived in every day. One of my favorite designs to date!

My clients all have the same story…
Before they hire us!

1. “I don’t have time to shop, sample, or research”
👉 That’s exactly what I take off your plate.

2. “I went to the showroom but felt overwhelmed”
👉 Showrooms sell products. I create the plan.

3. “I know what I like but don’t know how to put it all together”
👉 Having inspiration is easy—turning it into a cohesive design is where most people get stuck.

4. “I need a better layout”
👉 We solve the layout first. Everything else follows.

5. “I want a timeless, spa-like, boutique hotel feel”
👉 That doesn’t happen by chance—it’s designed.

Designing a bathroom? Start with a plan.

This primary bathroom was part of a home recently purchased in Daniels Farm with Realtor, Wendy Storms .levins.storms - the space was ready for a fresh start and a complete rework.

The goal? An organic, spa-like feel layered in soft neutrals. A more open layout with a larger shower.

By removing the wall, we opened up the layout to create a brighter, more functional design, anchored by a larger walk-in shower and a tub design that feels intentional.

The vanity was configured to work with the way they live, with integrated storage and thoughtful organization.

For the overall feel, we leaned into warm wood tones, subtle tile variation, and aged brass—creating a space that feels calm, elevated, and timeless.

The success of a bathroom renovation isn’t just about the contractor. It’s about the design plan that guides the project.

Before construction begins, we work with our clients to think through:
• Space and floor planning
• Tile layouts
• Lighting plan
• Smart selections
• Material combinations and finishes

The result is a complete design plan and specification book that gives the homeowner and contractor a complete design roadmap.

Because the best renovations start with design.

Rental Refresh at Milford Beach
We occasionally get the opportunity to help prepare homes for their upcoming listing for sale or rent. In this case, a property owner (and past client) asked us to refresh her Milford rental, just steps from the beach.

The goal: brighten the space and give it a fresh, coastal feel to attract the next tenant, and putting the investment where it counts.

Here’s what we updated:
• Refinished and painted the kitchen cabinets in Vanilla Milkshake, with new shaker drawer and door fronts (all by our talented friend Kelly
• Added a soft sea-glass backsplash
• Installed a more modern quartz countertop
• Updated the bathroom with a new tile floor and vanity
• Removed popcorn ceilings and gave the entire space a fresh coat of paint
-New carpeting throughout

We helped the owner select materials and coordinate the project, and the full transformation came together in just 5 weeks. Swipe to see the before photos — the transformation is big!

We love helping homeowners and landlords make smart updates that elevate a space and get it ready for its next chapter. 🌊

A Boy's Classic Navy & White Bath

This boy's bathroom was designed to be masculine, classic, and low-maintence - without feeling boring. For this project we did a herringbone pattern on the main floor and paired it with classic white subway tiles with a strong contrasting grout. The durable finishes, and timeless colors, and beautiful cabinetry, ensure this bathroom grows along with him 💙

When the client says "I want pink" 💓

Designing this pink bathroom was such a joy, and I loved stiking the perfect balance between fun and sophisticated. For the project, we combined soft blush cabinetry with crisp white surfaces, layered in warm gold fixtures, and anchored the room with a classic flooring, penny tiles and terrazzo. And the pink crosshatch shower wall feature added just the right amount of fun to the space.

Sometimes the best transformations aren’t dramatic… they’re thoughtful. Swipe for before ➡️

What we updated: ✔️ Hand-finished subway tile with natural variation for a soft, artisan look
✔️ A marble-wrapped niche with a chevron mosaic moment (my favorite detail ➡️)
✔️ Polished chrome fixtures for timeless shine
✔️ A new vanity in a calm grey-blue for subtle color + storage
✔️ Frameless glass to open the room and let the tile shine

The goal: Brighten the space, keep it classic, neutral and give it just enough personality to feel special.
