Last weekend at the farmstand šŸ¤

The ovens were full, the counters were covered in flour, and the kitchen smelled like vanilla, peaches, cinnamon, and butter from morning until night.

This week’s lineup included:

šŸŽ‚ Birthday Cake Cookies
šŸ‘ Peach Rolls
šŸ‘ Homemade Peach Jam & Filling
šŸ¤Ž Original Cinnamon Rolls

The peach rolls were layered with homemade peach filling made from slow-cooked peaches, cinnamon, and a splash of lemon, then finished with a buttery crumble and vanilla glaze. The birthday cake cookies brought a little celebration to the stand, and the original cinnamon rolls remained the favorite they always seem to be.

I’ve shared all of the recipes in the link in my bio if you’d like to make them at home.

Thank you for stopping by our little farmstand, supporting small-batch baking, and following along each week. It means more than you know.

And if you made it this far... next weekend we’re doing something special:

✨ Cinnamon Roll Flights ✨

Featuring Original, Peach, Lemon Blueberry, and Strawberry.

Dough Day for Cinnipalooza!

Finding my summer rhythm šŸ˜† Been waking up early on days I have a lot more to prep and it’s been great! 😊 Today I prepped 6 batches of dough, still 2 more to go!

Each flavor has a double batch which is 8 in all. So far I’ve had great excitement over these Cinni flights so we will see how this all ends up!

Love how flexible the dough is! It allows me to prep, use the fridge, and roll it out later when I have time. Life saver!!

Check out the recipe in my bio on my website! I even have a course that helps those who need some more guidance!

Here’s to another busy day of squeezing in all the things!

Cinnipalooza!! Coming this weekend ā¤ļø

Today we are prepping all the homemade jams for the different varieties of cinnamon rolls for Cinnipalooza!

I’ve been asked often if I ever offer flights so people can try all the different varieties. And I never have because of storage and logistics. But I decided to go for it this weekend!

The flight will include:
1 lemon blueberry
1 peach cobbler
1 strawberry shortcake
1 regular OG Cinni

All my recipes are on my website in bio so you can make from home if you are too far or just love to bake yourself!

Pre-orders have already started off strong! So here’s to seeing how this will turn out! Who knows…maybe it will be back again!

Just a friendly reminder: your dream is greater than others opinions.

You’ll have supporters and you’ll always have nay sayers. One of the best skills I’ve earned in starting Stable side was learning to filter opinions.

I love when good friends give tips or feedback that is helpful! It never bothers me and always helps me think through my blind spots as I know I have them.

But what I have learned to let slide are the critics. Those who don’t have any idea what I’m working towards or understand what I’m doing on a day to day basis but love to tell me what I should or shouldn’t do.

Learn to take helpful feedback and let the little critics go. Save your time and energy for business building and let the rest just fade into the background.

Ditch the cake…make these birthday cake cookies instead.

This recipe is simple but delicious. 🤤 The perfect way to celebrate any birthday or just because šŸ’•

Birthday Cake Cookies

Wet
1 c browned butter, cooled to room temp
1 c brown sugar
1/2 c cane sugar
2 tsp vanilla
3 tbsp milk
2 eggs
2 tsp butter extract

Dry
3 c flour (I use Italian 00)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 c sprinkles

Icing
1/2 c softened butter
3 c powdered sugar
Pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla bean paste
3 tbsp milk of choice
1 tsp butter extract

Add butter and sugars, whip 2/3 minutes to cream until light and fluffy looking. Whip remaining wet ingredients in a mixer for another 2-3 minutes until creamy. Then add in dry ingredients and mix just til combined.

Scoop into 1/4 c flour- 1/3 c dough balls and place on pan. Cover well and refrigerate for 12-24 hrs.

Preheat oven to 375

Place 5-6 cookies on tray spaced out. I like to line with parchment paper. Bake for 13-15 minutes. Golden brown edges but looks slightly underdone in the middle.

Cool for 30 minutes. While cooling whip together all the ingredients for the icing until fluffy and combined.

Ice cookie and sprinkle top with extra sprinkles. Enjoy!

Prep Birthday Cake Cookies——and chat about prep methods šŸ™ƒ

But first, can we get it out of the way?! Birthday cake is a delicious flavor. Slightly childish, yes. Fancy, no. But delicious, you bet! šŸ‘

I love helping other bakers learn simple ways to prep ahead! Whether for your own family or a larger crowd, these methods can be great!

For cookies, I have a base dough recipe I use for all my cookies. Then the mix ins or flavorings switch it up. It’s delicious, balanced, and turns out perfect every time.

Base Dough Recipe

Wet:

1 c browned butter
1 c brown sugar
1/2 c white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract (or other flavors here)
2-3 tbsp extra liquid of choice (milk, juice, water, coffee, etc)

Dry
3 c Italian 00 or all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
Add mix ins or other flavorings

That’s it! You can customize so many ways but if you get the base part down you can multiply out as much as you want to and the sky’s the limit with flavors.

Hope you love it. šŸ˜

What a crazy 6 months…and I’m so grateful šŸ„°šŸ„¹šŸ«¶šŸ»

About 6 months ago I opened for my first weekend at the Farmstand and began sharing all my recipes and the behind the scenes of keeping and baking.

I had no idea what I was doing really. But I knew I had a love of baking and sharing delicious recipes with others who also love to bake.

To say I’m grateful is an understatement of the year. I count every single one of you as a gift. Every message, picture, comment (well most of them šŸ˜†) I read and cherish.

I can honestly say I am entering this next year with a full heart, much expectation, and ready to roll up my sleeves, get to work, and keep serving and sharing this amazing community!

Happy New Year to you all. See ya in the next šŸ˜‰
