The houses of my summers as a child.
-
Every summer I would visit my grandparents in Michigan. While my grandmother still worked she would drop me off early in the morning, before the sun broke the horizon at an in home daycare just up the road. Mrs. Julie’s house was where I met my friends for the summer. As a group, she would walk all the kids to the park in the neighborhood. The buddy system was in place as we walked two by two down the sidewalks. From the sidewalk I would stare at these houses that are so different from the ones I saw during the school year in Alabama in awe. These photos are from my trip in November when I got to see them with a dusting of snow on the rooftops.
