There may be a problem when your husband comes home for lunch, sees you sanding the kitchen table… and doesn’t flinch. Doesn’t ask a single question. Just accepts that this is apparently what we’re doing today. 😂

But seriously — WHY would they cover ACTUAL WOOD to make it look fake?!

I started sanding and underneath that factory finish was this gorgeous grain just waiting to come back out. 😍

Another perfectly good misfit getting restored.

A few weeks ago, I shared that Michelle’s Misfit Market was entering a season of change.

I told you there was a new name coming.

I told you I was finally stepping out in faith.

And I told you that what started as flipping furniture had grown into something so much bigger.

Today, I finally get to share what I’ve been working on…

If you’ve known me for any amount of time, you know I’ve never been able to walk past something with potential.

An old dresser.
A cluttered room.
A forgotten corner.
A house that just doesn’t feel like home anymore.

I’ve always believed the best things aren’t always the newest things—they’re often the ones that just need someone willing to see what they could become.

That belief came from my mom.

She taught me how to see beauty where others didn’t. We’d spend weekends wandering antique stores, thrift shops, yard sales, and flea markets looking for the next treasure. She also taught me not to be afraid of hard work. If someone said, “That can’t be done,” she’d smile, pick up a tool, and prove them wrong.

She also taught me something I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life…

Every home has good bones.

Not because every home is perfect, but because every home has the potential to become a place of peace, comfort, and belonging.

That’s the heart behind Good Bones & Co.

It’s more than organizing.
More than deep cleaning.
More than painting walls or building shelves.

It’s helping people fall back in love with the home they already have.

Whether that’s…

🏡 Resetting a home that’s become overwhelming.
🧺 Organizing spaces so they finally function.
🪜 Building custom storage.
🎨 Adding an accent wall.
🛋️ Refreshing a room.
🧼 Creating a fresh start with a deep clean.

…it’s all about seeing the potential and bringing it to life.

And for everyone wondering about Michelle’s Misfit Market…

It’s not disappearing.

It’s simply becoming Misfits->Restored.

Because that’s exactly what it’s always been.

Finding overlooked pieces.
Giving them new life.
Helping them find a new home.

So now the vision finally feels complete.

✨ Good Bones & Co. restores homes.

✨ Misfits-> Restored restores the pieces that make them feel like home.

Different names.

One heart.

One mission.

One story.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me, shared my posts, trusted me with your homes, bought a piece of furniture, prayed for me, or simply believed I could do this.

This has been years in the making, and I truly believe God has been writing this story long before I could see it.

Here’s to new beginnings… and finding the good bones in everything. 🤍

✨ MISFIT MONDAY | Episode One ⬇️ and some exciting things happening behind the scenes!!!

Thrift store Hauls!! Stay tuned … 👀

If you’ve been around for a while, you know this is my happy place.

Not because I love “stuff.”

Because I love potential.

Every aisle holds something someone decided wasn’t worth keeping anymore… and I can’t help but wonder what it could become.

I’ve always joked that thrift stores are my therapy.

Truthfully… they are.

Some people unwind at the spa.
Some go golfing.
I wander aisles looking for pieces everyone else overlooked.

Maybe that’s why Michelle’s Misfit Market has always felt like home.

But lately I’ve realized this has never really been about buying and selling.

It’s about restoration.

It’s about seeing beauty before everyone else does.

It’s about believing that what looks worn out, forgotten, or out of style still has good bones.

So welcome to the first Misfit Monday.

Today’s finds…

🤍 Lavender changing table with incredible lines (I’m already dreaming up a makeover.)

🤍 Vintage milk glass and dinnerware.

🤍 Bamboo organizers that just need the right home.

🤍 Brass plate stand.

🤍 Wooden serving pieces.

Every one of these was passed over by someone else…

…and every one has potential.

I can’t wait to show you where this journey is headed.

The name is evolving.

The mission isn’t.
