A boutonnière, reimagined as a serving tray. 🤍
We are still SMILING BIG on this one! A bride trusted us with her husband's boutonnière, one of the most unique we've ever seen, with feathers, turkey tail mushroom, celosia, dark roses, eucalyptus, fern, and golden blooms. We turned it into a one-of-a-kind resin serving tray with brass handles. Now it can be used and enjoyed every day, not tucked away in a drawer. 💛
It was an honor to be part of their story, and it got us thinking about the big question every bride asks: how should I preserve my flowers?
Here's a quick look at the options:
🫙 Resin ✅ Locks in the full 3D shape and texture of your flowers ✅ Durable, and can become something you use, like a tray, coaster, or paperweight ⚠️ Colors can deepen or shift as the flowers are sealed ⚠️ Heavier and often a bigger investment
🌸 Pressed ✅ Beautifully preserves delicate petals and detail in a light, elegant frame ✅ Great for displaying on a wall ⚠️ Flattens the bouquet, so you lose its dimension ⚠️ Can fade over time if exposed to direct sunlight
🖼️ Shadow Box ✅ Lets you display the bouquet alongside keepsakes like invitations, ribbons, or photos ✅ Keeps some of the natural shape of the flowers ⚠️ Dried flowers can become brittle and fade over time ⚠️ Needs a spot away from sun and humidity
There's no wrong choice, only the one that fits your story and your home. 💐
Not sure which is right for you? We break it all down in our blog post, at our website and click on our blog 'The Flower Press.' (we would LOVE to give you the direct link but apparently Zuckerburg has gotten greedy so we can't share more than 2 links a week. Total bummer right?)
