We know there are cleaning products on the market that cost significantly less than ours, and honestly, we understand why people ask about the difference.

The truth is, our goal has never been to create the cheapest cleaner available. Our goal has always been to create products that we feel good about using in our own homes.

We choose biodegradable plant-derived surfactants, mineral-based cleaning agents, premium fragrances, and ingredients that are free from phthalates, carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins, and acute toxins. We also invest in water-soluble fragrance technology to help reduce streaking, film, cloudiness, and separation.

Could we make our products cheaper? Absolutely. We could cut corners, use lower-cost ingredients, outsource production, or sacrifice quality. But that’s simply not who we are.

Every bottle is made by our team right here in-house. We know exactly what goes into our products because we’re the ones making them.

We also know that cleaning products are a necessity, which is why we’ve created a new Cleaning Day Bundle that includes our All Purpose Cleaner, Mop Soap, and Linen Spray together at a discounted price. We wanted to make it easier for you to stock up on you everyday cleaning essentials without compromising on quality.

A few years ago, if you had told me that our small business, which started in our kitchen, would one day be invited to TikTok Headquarters to speak about the impact TikTok has had on our journey, I never would have believed you.

Last month, that became a reality.

I had the opportunity to share our story, meet some incredible entrepreneurs, and connect with people who are building amazing businesses across the country. One of the highlights of the trip was meeting the owner of Dan-o’s Seasoning. He was genuinely one of the kindest and most down-to-earth people I met during the event.

I was also lucky enough to have my friend Elisabeth as my travel buddy for the trip. Having a familiar face there made the experience even more memorable, and we shared plenty of laughs along the way.

As for my speech? It didn’t go exactly as planned. But I made people laugh, and honestly, that’s what matters most to me. I’ve never wanted to be the smartest person in the room or give the most polished speech. I simply want the impact I leave on others to be positive, fun, and genuine.

I’m incredibly grateful to TikTok for creating opportunities like this for small businesses. Every order, every share, every comment, and every person who has supported us along the way helped make moments like this possible.

Running a small business can be incredibly rewarding, but some days are harder than others.

Today, we received a return that had been emptied and refilled with an unknown substance. When our team opened the package, the bottle had a strong odor of urine and old ci******es. It was not the product we shipped, and it certainly was not the condition in which it left our warehouse.

To make matters worse, after returning a bottle that clearly did not contain our product, the customer has continued to bully our customer service team and threaten to file a complaint with TikTok while demanding a refund.

The saddest part is that this customer appears to clean homes professionally. In the photos submitted with the claim, a cleaning caddy is clearly visible. As fellow professionals, we expect honesty, integrity, and respect. It’s disappointing when someone who works in a service-based industry chooses to treat another small business this way.

We want to be very clear: we stand behind our products and work hard to make things right when legitimate issues arise. If we make a mistake, we will own it. However, we will not issue refunds or replacements for products that have been emptied, tampered with, altered, or refilled with another substance.

Small businesses are not giant corporations with unlimited resources. Fraudulent returns, abusive behavior toward staff, and attempts to obtain refunds for products that were not returned in their original condition directly impact our business, our employees, and their families.

Our customer service team works incredibly hard every day to help customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns with kindness and professionalism. They deserve to be treated with respect, not bullied for enforcing company policies.

When I look back on our journey, it still doesn’t feel real.

What started in our kitchen has grown into a company that is now preparing to move into a 20,000 sqft warehouse later this year. Some days, it’s hard to believe.

The reality is that this journey has never been easy. It’s been long days, sleepless nights, sacrifices, uncertainty, and more chaos than I can count. We’ve battled supply shortages, growing pains, staffing challenges, callouts, and the constant struggle of trying to keep up with demand.

We’ve been criticized online for not having enough products in stock and even for our sprayer tubes being too long. The reality is that, as a growing company, every decision comes down to space, time, and efficiency. We offer one universal sprayer size because we simply don’t have the space to stock multiple versions or the labor hours for our team to hand cut sprayers for hundreds of orders.

The women on our team sacrifice time with their families to make products that families across the country enjoy in their homes. Some arrive before sunrise. Some have worked 14 hour shifts. Some come in on their days off because they care that much about our customers and this company.

Our team has never been the problem. Our space has.

That’s why we’ve been building a new warehouse since November. This move will allow us to increase production, improve inventory levels, and continue growing the right way.

We are completely self-funded. No investors. No outside funding. We don’t rely on traditional advertising, and we rarely participate in paid campaigns. We have always believed in building this company through authentic relationships, organic growth, and products we’re proud to put our name on.

We make our own products. We pack our own orders. We stand behind everything that leaves our warehouse. Today, we are ranked #8 in our category on TikTok Shop, and many of the competitors ahead of us cannot say the same.

So before you take your frustration out on one of our customer service representatives because an item is out of stock, please remember that the person helping you is likely one of the same people making sacrifices behind the scenes to serve you better.

We are not perfect, but every single day, this team shows up, works hard, and gives everything they have to build something special.

During Small Business Month, our small business was incredibly honored to be invited by TikTok to attend the Small Business Showcase in Washington DC. It was such a surreal and special experience for us.

One thing that mattered most to me was making sure the people behind Mississippi Candle Company were included in this moment, because none of this would be possible without our team. They work so hard every single day to keep this business running and growing, and they truly deserve to be celebrated too.

They had no idea why I suddenly needed an updated team photo at the last minute, but now they do. We were able to have our team “take a picture” alongside Congressman Roger Williams, Chairman of the SBA Committee, and it made this honor feel even more meaningful.

From packing orders to helping build this dream with us, this moment belongs to every single person on our team.

Being invited to the Small Business Showcase in Washington, D.C. at the US Capitol was truly one of the greatest honors for our small business. We had the incredible opportunity to showcase our products on a national level and represent the heart behind our brand. We also had the chance to hear the Speaker of the House speak about the impact and importance of small businesses across the country. Meeting so many of the dedicated men and women serving in Congress made the experience even more meaningful. It was an unforgettable moment for our company and a reminder of how far this journey has come.
