I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for being part of this incredible journey! Ascend Home Design is now officially closed, and I'm filled with mixed emotions - sadness to see it come to an end, but also immense pride and satisfaction knowing all that I've built and learned, along with the impact that this company has made. I'm so thankful for the opportunities we've had, the lessons I've learned, and the memories we've created together. All my best to you all as we move forward into new and exciting chapters! 💕

After a beautiful journey with Ascend Home Design, life is taking me in a new direction, and I have made the bittersweet decision to close the firm.

Talk about a transformation! ✨ Swipe to see where we started with this living space. ➡️

We kicked things off by tearing down the closet wall separating the entryway from the living room, instantly opening up the entire floor plan. From there, we stripped away the old paneling and popcorn ceilings, replacing them with sleek recessed lighting and gorgeous new fixtures.

Some of our favorite custom details? The German-smeared fireplace with an updated mantel, and that stunning boho fixture bringing all the warmth to the eat-in area. 🪵💡

To tie it all together, we laid down fresh LVP flooring and gave the space a crisp coat of white paint, contrasted beautifully by bold black trim, doors, and baseboards. This striking contrast creates a seamless flow right into the brand-new kitchen design!

We styled the space with an organic modern feel, featuring a leather U-shaped sofa, a textured cream rug, sleek black dining furniture, and plenty of greenery. 🌱

Peggy’s bedroom refresh started with three ideas (based off of the preferences she shared in her kick-off questionnaire) to help choose a direction before moving into the design concept phase. Visualizing a direction before making investment purchases saves so much time, energy, and money–and this is only the first step in the visualization process! Peggy wound up wanting the exact Four Hands bedframe pictured in the Soft Transitional (boucle + black metal) Idea board, proving every part of the design process matters.

But at Ascend Home Design, I filter every single decision through a completely different question:

Does this bring you absolute joy? ✨

Trends come and go, but the feeling of walking into a room that perfectly fits your soul never fades. If a layout or a finish is considered "on-trend" but it makes you feel cold, it doesn't belong in your home.

I do what I do with joy, for my joy, and ultimately, for yours. Your home should be a sanctuary of happiness, not a showroom of temporary trends.
