This page is dedicated to cooking and the Spice of Life. But let's take a moment to reflect on that. I named this page Spice of Life because A) I don't believe in using but the barest amount of salt, and would rather use Spices and Herbs when I cook and that is what this page is. And B) we all have spice-y moments in our lives, whether they be big, small, good, or bad.
Now, that being said, Yesterday. Yesterday was a hard day for our nation, and I am sure that I will lose followers for this. But, Please note, I never, ever talk politics, with anyone except for my husband. Ever. I avoid it. Because I don't like to upset anyone. But this needs to be talked about. Almost a month ago, a young woman was murdered for no reason on a train on her way home. Seriously, the man who did that, spoke with his sister and blamed "materials in his body that took it out on her" his words. And we just just heard about it yesterday, because, in all honesty, it was a white woman, killed by a black man in a predominantly black area. Truth. Charlie Kirk was then assassinated in broad daylight within the first 11 mins, 11 MINS, of his tour. All because people didn't like that he was speaking truths, (whether you agreed with him or not)and letting people discuss in an open format. It was targeted. It was intentional. Because he was effective. There are videos and evidence of the assassin on the roof everywhere. You won't change my mind.
Then, there was a shooting at a Colorado school, that k*lled 3. Coincidences don't happen like that.
And finally, today marks the 24th anniversary of the attacks on the Twin Towers on 9/11/01. 2700+ lives were lost that day.
But please tell me how this is all a coincidence, that it just happened this way. If you believe that, you are either ignorant or blind. Your pick.
Now that being said, this page has 1.1k followers. Like I said, I sure that I will lose some of you, and I make no apologies because if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck, chances are it is a duck, no matter if you dress it up or not. But I also hope that some of you will understand why I made this post. Because with that many followers, I CAN'T stay silent. It would be a disservice to all of you.
That being said, rest, and Peace to the victims of yesterday, love and prayers to the families that lost, all of them. And remember what today is.
