I know that the first frost is still a ways out, but I couldn't wait! For the first time in over 20 years I tasted something I thought was lost to me. Green tomato pickles, like a memory pulled from a shoebox hidden in the recesses of a closet. Maybe I just never looked in the right places, or my measurements were just not quite right. Whatever the case, I'm so thankful to have finally figured this flavor out.
