A small detail with a big impact. In my architectural drawings I put notes calling out for silicone joints, not grout, in changes of plane (corners, wall to floor, wall to ceiling) yet it’s something I have to point out time after time because “the way everyone always does it” is to just continue the grout. The silicone gives the walls a place to move without cracking, keeping your tiles and grout intact and not risking a weakened waterproofing.
