Someone at my recent event said to me, “It must be nice to work from home.”
And honestly… it IS. ❤️ I’m incredibly grateful that I get to build something of my own and work from home.
But there’s a whole side of being a business owner that people don’t always see.
Today was a 13-hour workday. 😳
I crocheted 36 pieces today… but that was just part of it.
I also priced everything, tagged and labeled items, organized inventory, created things in Canva, ordered supplies for my next event, and worked on all the little behind-the-scenes things that keep a small business moving.
There’s no clocking out at 5. 😂
There’s no “someone else will take care of that.”
If something needs to be done, chances are… I’m the someone.
Being a small business owner is HARD work. It’s a lot of late nights, long days, learning as I go, wearing about 47 different hats, and occasionally wondering what the hell I’m doing. 😂
But I’m also incredibly grateful.
Grateful that I get to create.
Grateful that people actually want the things I make.
Grateful that I get to turn something I love into a business.
And grateful that all of this hard work is building something that belongs to me.
So yes… working from home is pretty damn nice.
But make no mistake—I WORK from home. ❤️🧶
And tonight, I’m tired, proud, and very thankful for this crazy little business I’m building.
