This transformation might not look like a big difference, but the secret is in the efficiency. We removed the old open flue wood burner that lacked heat output and replaced it with a Majestic Pioneer-II EPA rated fireplace that has a max BTU output of 81k per hour. Not shown is a heat output kit that allows heat to be transferred to an upstairs hallway to better distribute the heat.

To top off this project, the original wooden mantel was replaced with a noncombustible concrete mantel from Lexington Hearth that is sure to fool anyone until they feel it and realize its not real wood. Finishing up this week with a stunning fireplace transformation! We were able to take this inefficient wood burning fireplace and convert it over to a much more efficient propane insert. Special shout out to Gnagey Propane for getting this tank set and helping us get gas to the customers quickly.
