Job Title: Part-Time Floral Designer
Location: Donahoe’s Whimsical Flowers, Front Royal, VA
Position Type: Part-Time
Schedule:
Weekdays: 3 afternoons per week, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Weekends: 3 Saturday mornings per month, 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a creative, reliable, and multi-talented Part-Time Floral Designer to join our team. In this role, you will assist with creating beautiful floral arrangements, maintaining shop freshness, and delivering exceptional service to our customers. Whether you are an experienced florist or a passionate creative eager to learn the craft, we welcome your application!
Key Responsibilities
Design and assemble fresh flower arrangements for daily orders, events, and walk-in customers.
Process incoming floral shipments, including trimming, hydrating, and proper storage.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming storefront and workspace.
Assist customers with purchases, order taking, and floral inquiries in person and over the phone.
Efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment during peak hours.
Qualifications
Experience: Prior floral design or retail experience is preferred, but not required—we are happy to train the right candidate with a passion for flowers and design.
Skills: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize duties, and work efficiently under deadlines.
Customer Focus: Friendly demeanor with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry floral buckets and arrangements (up to 30 lbs).
