After a lot of thought and reflection, I have decided to step away from Pink Zebra.
This past year has been full of growth, creativity, learning, and connection. I am so grateful for every customer, friend, supporter, vendor event, live sale, conversation, and scent blend shared along the way. Pink Zebra gave me an outlet for creativity and a hobby I truly enjoyed investing in. It taught me so much about branding, graphic design, social media marketing, live selling, customer service, networking, event planning, and believing in myself enough to try something outside of my comfort zone.
But after a year of pouring my heart, time, energy, and finances into this business, I’ve had to be honest with myself. I have continuously reinvested everything back into the business without seeing the financial return needed to move forward. I’ve spent countless hours away from my kids hoping it would help grow my customer base and catapult my business, but unfortunately that hasn’t happened.
One of the hardest parts has been feeling the lack of leadership and guidance needed to truly help me grow. I found myself searching for encouragement, motivation, and connection elsewhere instead of within the place I expected to receive it from.
So for now, I am choosing me.
I am taking at least 6 months away to rest, reflect, reset, and focus on my family, my personal goals, my fitness journey, and building my own personal brand. If I ever decide to return, it will be under new leadership and with a completely different mindset.
To anyone out there chasing a dream: always believe in yourself, always have goals, and never be afraid to try something new. Even when something doesn’t work out the way you hoped, there is still value in the lessons learned along the way.
This is not goodbye forever — just the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another.
