Anvil Acre Farm

Anvil Acre Farm Homestead farm in Garden Valley offering monthly classes to empower people to live more naturally. Blacksmith, welder, cheesemaker, homestead skills teacher.

Wholesome chemical-free products made at the farm are available: cheeses, eggs, sourdough, kombucha, skin salves, soaps, lip balms, doggie treats, & more! I adore raising animals, and specialize in dairy goats, ducks, and chickens. Teaching people fun & useful skills, and feeding people wholesome, homemade, farm-raised foods are my two main callings in life and I thoroughly enjoy doing them!

Goat kids, fermented pickles, growing mushrooms, new jewelry classes, eggplant jerky, pizza for three - lots going on as I try to keep joy in my life while I get through my divorce. Don't forget your joy, and remain grateful for the people, animals, plants - whatever things you do have❤️

Hello, lovely Followers 😍

You may have noticed a drop in my presence over the last few months... It is with a heavy heart I finally feel ready to announce I am going through a divorce, and will be relocating elsewhere in Garden Valley.

I am overwhelmed by the love this community has shown me, and so grateful for the friends I've made who are helping me (sometimes holding me up) through this difficult process ❤️🙏

Unfortunately, I cannot keep the farm... so, for those who have come to know and love my classes, all future classes will be held elsewhere. And there's great news! I have several class venues in the works that I am very excited about, and information on those will be coming once they are finalized 🎉

Please feel free to message me directly, through Messenger or cell if you have questions, and please note I do have a NEW cell number - 530-957-9963. Please update my contact information in your phone!

My classes and natural products will keep going - they are my absolute joy to share. So, never fear... something I remind myself every day... the joy WILL continue, and I will continue to share it with others, always❤️

I appreciate you all, and thank you 🤗❤️

Mark your calendars! If you've been wanting to make your own soap but don't know where to start, come join us at Wakamatsu Farm! Anne will be demonstrating how to make two types of natural soap, both of which are extremely effective at getting you clean without stripping away your skin's natural oils, or exacerbating skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis. See the American River Conservancy page for sign up information!

Soap Making - Goat Milk Soap & Olive Oil Soap🧼
Sunday, April 27th 2-5pm

Join Anne Morton - founder, owner, and teacher at Anvil Acre Farm - as she demonstrates how to make two kinds of chemical-free and highly effective soaps from scratch: goat milk soap, and olive oil soap. Using plant-based oils, organic exfoliants, essential plant oils, and milk from the goats at her farm, Anne will demonstrate how natural soaps are not only gentler on the skin and still tough on dirt and grime, but also nourish and even repair the skin's health at the same time. We will discuss the benefits of each ingredient in detail, as well as the therapeutic benefits of various essential oils and their effects on mood, stress, restlessness, and even anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits when used in your soaps.

Class includes 2 bars of soap and handouts with the information and recipes covered in the class. Ages 15+ welcome. Meeting location Gold Hill/Placerville. Cost: $60/members, $70/non-members. A detailed email will be sent once you register online at https://app.dvforms.net/api/dv/12lp7e or by visiting the link in our bio.

Follow up from today's sourdough class at Wakamatsu Farm! The dough we made in class has now doubled in size after just 4 hours! (For those keeping score, that's an hour less than the bulk fermented dough we baked in class, and 5 hours less than the bread we sampled in class!) My continuing moral to the story - learn to read your dough!!! Every day and every dough is different! Happy gut-healthy baking ❤️🤗

Mmmm... can you tell I'm getting excited for the upcoming sourdough classes??? 😍 Another beautiful loaf on the books - did some R&D with this one and gave my recipe some tweaks for the classes - it will now be even easier and less intimidating to make for everyone! Very very pleased, I can't wait to see everyone in class very soon!!!
