Friends,
Our last day of business will be Saturday, August 30th.
While the logistics of this decision came together very (very!) quickly, it’s something I’ve been thinking about for over a year. While it was an extremely hard choice to make, it’s ultimately a happy one. I’m so excited to see where life takes me next, and I’m ready to focus on travel, time with my family, and myself.
At the beginning of this year, I spent more time with my family - all together - than I probably have since I was 18. That experience reminded me just how much I value being with them, and I’ve been giddy ever since thinking about making more room in my life for those moments.
What *is* hard is saying goodbye to the community I’ve been so lucky to be a part of. Please don’t bring this up in public unless you want to see me cry 😅 (joking... but not really!). You all welcomed me with open arms, and being part of this community has been one of the most positive and heartwarming experiences of my life. I truly believe you’d be hard-pressed to find a more kind, supportive, and generous group of people, and I hope you know how proud you should be for creating that kind of atmosphere.
One of my favorite things to do at the shop was talk with folks about all the businesses and dreams that 101 Market Street has held over the years. I hope you’ll stop by this week to help us celebrate our six years here and share in these final days with us. We’ll be open regular hours (Thursday–Saturday, 10–3) for shopping, reminiscing, and community. We will be running a 30% off sale on everything, so come snag one last vintage piece from us!
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for showing up, for supporting Abbey’s, and for being part of a chapter in my life I will always hold dear.
Sincerely,
💙Abigail
P.S. - while our chapter is done at 101 Market Street, the building will not sit empty. I hope you'll show the new occupants the same love you've shown me!
