Before and after of the dining room in my early 1900’s project. I’m generally one to keep original woodwork, but painting the wainscoting was not only far more cost effective, but it also helped create a much more inviting space for this family (it also was one of the only spaces left in the home that didn’t already have painted woodwork, so it was feeling really disjointed from the rest of the house). I DID keep the wood beams and the French doors the original stain and created a custom stain for the floors to match them to the original woodwork.

The kitchen in the early 1900’s home I’ve been working on is finally complete! I have a confession though, the new light fixture wasn’t installed in time for me to take photos, so I edited it in. Second picture shows the light that was there…and don’t miss the before picture (that yellow tile was certainly a choice). Good news is - the new fixture is now up and I’ll be back to work on some new projects in the future, so I’ll be able to get some actual finished project photos of the kitchen.

Also peek that moody green from the office that we carried over to the mudroom cabinets.

Another transformation in this gorgeous early 1900’s home. I love how we can see the matching Roman shades in the moody green office behind. Swipe to see the before.

The most dramatic makeover I’ve done yet! The lighter furniture, neutral rug, and these pretty patterned curtains bring a softness to balance the moodiness of the room. Swipe to see the before. What a transformation, right?!?

My most recent project (which coincidentally uses almost exclusively curtains and shades from Two Pages) just wrapped up in time for me to enter the Glow Up Contest. The contest runs Jan20-Mar31 and I was so excited when I heard about it. I had started this project last year and was certain it would be wrapped up in time. But some delays came up and then I figured there was no chance. Well things got back on track just in time for me to finish the project on Wednesday! With just one week to spare!

The posts with the most likes win:
1st place = $10000
2nd place = $8000
3rd place = $6000
Top 4-10 = $3000

With a lot of help from my friends, maybe there’s a chance I could win one of these amazing prizes!!!! Thank you all in advance for your support.

One of my favorite parts of this business is the community—especially the incredible, supportive mothers I get to work with.

Yesterday, my daughter wasn’t feeling well, and my amazing client didn’t hesitate for a second to welcome her in, let her curl up on the couch, and spend the day watching movies while I wrapped up her dining room and office installs.

Moments like this mean everything to me. Creating a business that allows me to show up for my kids has always been the goal, and I’m so grateful for days where motherhood and work can exist so seamlessly together.

Stay tuned for finished project photos!

My favorite Christmas mantle yet. And I actually put the sleigh in the right spot this year! (I somehow always have a brain fart and put it in front of the reindeer 😂)

Yesterday I got to do a virtual walkthrough of the kitchen I’ve been designing for my client with . It was a really fun way to make sure the layout was exactly like we all planned. Also a really easy way to accidentally walk into a wall 😂

I don’t know why I didn’t think of this before! I’ve been using those fluffy glittery sheets from the 80s to make a snowy base for my Christmas village. But salt in a tray with twinkle lights is a game changer!
