Happy (almost) pride month, yall!

As a reminder, this space is curated by a nonbinary q***r person, who does their best to make sure intersectionality is involved in everything they do as much as they can 💖

I am still working on my dress, hoping to have it done before Lansing pride near the end of the month. I have 3 little pride themed coaster sets done, and am going to be working on more throughout the week.

As we enter Pride Month here's a little reminder that my Stand Proud pattern is completely free in my Ravelry shop.
Pride Month is as important as ever.
Anti-trans legislation is rising at a record pace. It is still illegal to be gay in some parts of the world and even punishable by death. Hate crimes against LGBTQ+ people make up almost 20% of all reported hate crimes in the US. Conversion therapy is making a comeback too.
Being gay isn't a lifestyle choice. Being an ally doesn't mean "accepting" or being "tolerant" of your gay friend or family member. It means advocacy and action towards equality and inclusion.
If you think being gay is a choice, you must be bisexual like me ✌️

I got an invite in my email from the Grand Ledge chamber of commerce, to vend in a few weeks for Yankee Doodle Days. I'm not sure if I should accept it or not, tbh. It's a $50 fee, I have no idea where it is set up, what size the space is, etc. All I know is it is at JC park at is from 9am-3pm.

When I did the $15 Saturday farmer markets from 9am-1pm, it sucked for artists as it is branded as a farmers marker, but this is branded specifically as vendors and crafters.

It's during pride month which could be great if I let others know I'm there, but idk how I feel about having to be in the heat with my whole family for 6 hours with no indoor escape. I can't function when it's too hot and I have to have water and snacks on me at all time.

Does anyone have advice on if it's worth it? If I don't make back the $50 minimum, I'm out money needed for bills, and we are struggling as is 😕
