I’ve never been one to keep my “in process” ideas to myself. Looking for ways to share my beautiful pressed flowers far and wide, I wanted a product I could share with the crafters and hobbyists, in a kit. My first pressed flower kit is almost ready! Everything you need for 4 handmade cards in one shippable kit. ✍️ 🌺

The kit comes with:
Pressed flowers grown and pressed in Garrett County Maryland
4 hand folded watercolor paper cards
4 envelopes (multiple color options available)
Mod podge
Paint brush
Tweezers

I heard Jessica Fike - Deep Creek Photographer + Tour Guide is doing $25 mini sessions in this gorgeous field of flowers on Saturday. Would be a shame if everyone went and enjoyed a glorious day of great food, art and had a souvenir of amazing pics to capture summer. 🤷‍♀️

🧵 STUDENT WORK 🧵
Another kids workshop in the books ⭐️ We had a great time in the Spruce Forest Artisan Village Pavilion creating woven works from found objects. I sourced the sticks and stones and the kids went wild creating pet rocks and stick friends. We used embroidery thread to weave and hold flowers 🌺
Thanks to Spruce Forest Artisan Village for creating such cool opportunities for kids throughout the summer.

A portion of the materials were provided through a grant from the GCAC

🌺 STUDENT WORK 🌺
I am still in awe of the amazing work created by this group of students. A few weeks ago I had the privilege of teaching a flower pressing (and art making) workshop to a group of very enthusiastic students from Grantsville elementary school, and an even more enthusiastic group of teachers 😍 I had a great time and it poured some much needed creative fuel into me that I’m still running on. Thanks to Spruce Forest Artisan Village for putting this camp together and giving me the opportunity to teach!

Some of the materials for this project were funded from a generous grant received from the GCAC 🖼️

A half finished reel may or may not ever make it out of edits 😅 It’s been a busy weekend!
Taking a minute to soak in the GCAC Artist Studio Tour 2026. Thank you to everyone who took the time to add us to your list of stops on the tour. This is the first Sunday we’ve been open this spring/summer season and I’m feeling that I may need to add it to my regular schedule!
