Artwork by Vicki Johnson My work is described as expressive and emotional - the special exploration of color, value, balance, I also paint with oils but my favorite is water media.

“I must confess, I have a life-long love affair with paint - especially with all water based paints. I love to pour them, spontaneously and with absolutely no fear and with no preconceived notions. The beautiful combinations that result are not possible with any other process. I love to mix watercolor with acrylic and sometimes even metallics. They react differently when you mix the medias. igments are heavier and sink under the lighter weight ones, and they blend and mix differently. It is like a roller coaster - you have to realize that your control is limited and just hang on for the ride!”
