We enjoyed a day out today, getting freshly inspired by a new boutique in downtown Greenville, . They really know how to create an atmospher, it was giving French bistro and we were loving every romantic moment!🌹

We had the privilege of staying in the private guest suite of the owners of a hotel in Winston Salem NC, while attending a designer trade show a couple years ago, and just cannot get over the adorable details. This German antique townhouse was the epitome of cozy, collected, homey, and comfortable.

After growing up in the desert, seeing all this moisture is both crazy and beautiful to me. Living for 25 years with desolate brown everywhere, I just cannot believe I now live somewhere that just the humidity causes this much condensation on the windows! But I LOVE it. 💖 It’s such a blessing. The trees, flowers, green that it brings; the way it keeps my skin soft rather than dried out; and even the sparkling effect it adds to my windows in the morning that glints in the soft light making everything look as though it were frosted with diamonds. ✨ I know most of you here in the Gvl area may feel miserable in the humidity, but please don’t take it for granted. It may feel unpleasant at times, but it’s such a gift and beautiful thing! Try to see the blessing and wonder in it, and observe the natural beauty it brings to our every day lives, and you may start to feel a little differently!

The accents to the most gorgeous garden… I love adding these little unexpected touches to a project, that bring a sense of adventure, whimsey, romance, flare, and pizzazz! Every space- even a porch stairwell leading to the garden- needs to inspire and delight, and bring a sense of story to the home.

I’ve never felt so blessed, so grateful, so full of life, or so beautiful, as this year when I’ve had the world’s best clients, a thriving business, the most amazing man by my side, sustained health, and now a little BOY on the way! When your client is a chef and gardener, and so thrilled with her newly designed & renovated kitchen that she cooks you breakfast… you don’t quibble over whether the home-grown feast is made of potatoes or “patatoes”, with tomatoes or “tamatoes”! 😍
