🌮 Cheesy Doritos Taco Cups
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 10–12 minutes
Servings: 12 taco cups
Ingredients
1 bag Nacho Cheese Doritos
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
â…“ cup water
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
½ cup diced tomatoes
¼ cup finely diced onion
½ cup sour cream
2 green onions, chopped (optional)
Cooking spray
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray.
2. Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it into small crumbles. Drain any excess grease.
3. Season the meat: Add taco seasoning and ⅓ cup water. Stir and simmer for 3–5 minutes until the beef is flavorful and the liquid has thickened.
4. Prepare the Doritos cups: Arrange 5–6 large Doritos chips around the sides of each muffin cup, overlapping them slightly to create a bowl shape.
5. Add the filling: Spoon the seasoned ground beef into the center of each Doritos cup, being careful not to break the chips.
6. Add the cheese: Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese over each taco cup.
7. Bake: Place the muffin tin in the oven for 5–8 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and the Doritos are warm and crispy. Watch closely to prevent burning.
8. Add fresh toppings: Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 2–3 minutes. Top each cup with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and onions.
9. Finish with sour cream: Add a dollop of sour cream and sprinkle with chopped green onions
