📏 Are You Measuring for Pet Stairs the Right Way?

One of the most common questions we get is whether the top step needs to be level with the bed or couch.

The answer: not necessarily.

Your furniture can act as the final step.

For example, our 30" pet stairs have a 7½" step rise, which means they can work with beds up to about 37½" high.

We’ve donated both pieces to Friends of Hardin County Animal Shelter, where they’ll be auctioned off during Dirty Dog Bash 2026 this Saturday!

A ramp AND a cozy hideaway! 🐾🪵

This custom 20” tall wooden pet ramp just came out of the shop, and this one has a feature we don’t build every day — a doghouse area built right into the space underneath the ramp!

The ramp provides a wide, carpeted surface to help dogs comfortably get up and down from a bed, while the enclosed space underneath gives them their own little spot to curl up, relax, or sleep. 🐶

We built this one unfinished, allowing the natural wood grain to show and giving its new owner the option to finish it however they’d like.

I really like how this build makes use of space that would normally go unused — easy access up top and a cozy space underneath.

Just finished up in the shop! 🐾🪵

This Extra Deep 4-Step Pet Staircase is heading out to its new home within the next day or two. This one was ordered unfinished/no stain, with both the side rail and back rail for a little extra security while navigating the steps.

We build these with deep, carpeted steps to give pups plenty of room to climb comfortably and confidently—especially when getting onto higher beds or furniture has become more difficult.

We hope this set makes life a little easier for its new pup and helps them get around their home the way their family intended. ❤️🐶
