We received a really wonderful gift today. Two days ago, a young man came into our store and purchased 2 vintage magazines. He said to me, “ I hope this doesn’t break your heart, but I’m going to cut these up.” I told him that people do this quite often because of the great advertisements that are found in vintage magazines. He then told me that he makes art out of what he removes from the magazines. We recently acquired a pretty large selection of vintage ephemera including thousands of magazines. I grabbed four or five vintage LIFE magazines from the 40’s & 50’s and I said, there are probably some great old advertisements in these. I told him he could have them for free. I learned his name is Brock and he thanked me for the magazines and I thanked him for his purchase. Today, I was painting and I turned around and there was Brock with this magnificent gift that he made for our store. What a really thoughtful and nice thing to do. We just wanna say thank you Brock and it is going on our wall!!!! We are very grateful that you took the time and effort to do this just for us!
