When I took this absolutely beautiful carrera marble decanter set home from the thrift store, it was all taped up in its original styrofoam. I took out each piece and was getting ready to photograph it, but the box still felt suspiciously HEAVY. πŸ€” Removing some additional tape on the bottom of the box revealed a tray for the set! 😍

PS: You can find this beautiful set in my Etsy store!

I guess I am at that age now where decor from my childhood is starting to hit thrift stores more often. 😬😬 And absolutely no shade if Dreamsicles are (or were!) your thing...but these guys have always given me weird vibes. But maybe that's just because you couldn't use the bathroom in my childhood house without them staring you down. 🀣🀣

Come with me to pick up yesterday's auction winnings! Our auction haul includes over 20 absolutely fabulous post cards from the late 1800s through WW1, a 4 foot vintage silver tinsel Christmas tree, and (last but not least) this GORGEOUS Victorian mirror that was way bigger than I expected. Thank goodness for our pickup truck! 🀣

A day in the life of a vintage small business owner-- morning coffee, scouring a church rummage sale for antique goodies, a post office run to mail yesterday's orders, a full restock at my antique booth, a quick trip to a thrift store, a dropoff for a Facebook Marketplace buyer, and an evening at home packaging today's online orders. Any day that includes an opportunity to find hidden treasures for customers is the best kind of busy, in my opinion!

Our Facebook Marketplace shop is fully loaded with tons of antique and vintage goodies waiting for their next home. It's an adventure with a bit of any and everything from 1880 to 1980! πŸ˜…

This beauty got a well-deserved spa day and is now ready to find her new home. Likely from the 60s or 70s, this Pagoda-shaped lazy susan serving dish is absolutely FABULOUS! It is in excellent condition, with just some minor cosmetic flaws (some scratching on the metal lazy susan and some gold paint loss). It would look great serving appetizers or assorted candies, but would also make an awesome organizing tray on a vanity or desk!

If you're in central PA, stop by my booth at the Carlisle Antique Mall. It's on the third floor, to the left when you walk up the big staircase. Right now, we have lots of goodies from Caroline's Collection-- all stored in this gorgeous antique hutch and on this Victorian marble top table. Think brass, flow blue china, antique books, hand-painted Nippon, and even a working 1903 Edison phonograph. I'm currently working on adding more pieces from Valerie's 70's Collection as well.

Part 3 of shopping for some antique furniture! My next stop was the New Oxford Antique Center. While there, I absolutely fell in love with this library card catalog organizer from Library Bureau Sole Makers. Did anyone else have to learn the Dewey decimal system and check out library books with paper cards in their elementary school? 🀣 Luckily, I don't think I'm quite old enough to have used this one.

Stay tuned to see what furniture pieces I purchased for the antique booth!

After Zelma's, I moved on to browse D&L Treasures. There was so much awesome furniture here! I was especially fond of these two adorable children's hutches. One even had sweet little teddy bears on the cabinet doors! πŸ₯Ή Stay tuned for Part 3... and an eventual reveal of what furniture I ended up hauling home with me!

Today I went searching for some antique furniture! There's a few pieces I'm searching for, both for our home and for staging in my antique booth. My first stop was Zelma's Emporium in New Oxford, PA. I absolutely fell in love with this kitchen hutch. The fun colors and cute painted details were 😍😍. It's a bit too big for our home, but I hope one day I'm lucky enough to source such a beautiful piece for my antique booth! But the best part of browsing Zelma's? Not one, but TWO, adorable dogs were napping. Can I be an antique store dog in a future life? Please? 🀣
