We made it to Arlington on 2/22/24. We had a few hours before Scott caught the subway from Arlington Cemetery to Regan National Airport… it was a very difficult goodbye… it always is… appreciate his support and encouragement for letting me live a bit wild and taking the kiddos on some epic adventures….

A year after I met Sven and Leslie on the Katy Trail, I ventured out to Maryland and we did an East Coast Ride... We left from Maryland rode to Delaware then to New Jersey. We had just gotten off the ferry from Cape May when a gentleman came up and inquired where we were headed… we were biking with all our gear, tents, etc on our bikes, so we were definitely a conversation starter… Alonzo was in the area with his wife and we could have talked for hours… we exchanged numbers and he was very excited to learn I lived near the Katy. Fast forward a couple years… Alonzo and Nicole came to Missouri to ride the Katy… it just so happens that Leslie was at my house visiting. We all had dinner in Rocheport and now here we are several years later all in Maryland for a meet up at a German restaurant/Rathskeller …. All because God gave us each a passion for cycling and the gift of starting conversations with strangers… now we are like family!

Well it seems I have a buyer who won’t respond to multiple attempts of contacting her regarding picking up her orders… She has been posting on her social media, so I trust that means she is okay… I have two, 2x2’ barn quilts , that are ready to be sold. I haven’t charged deposits, but may have to do so going forward…which makes me sad. Nonetheless, if you want an extra special gift, for a loved one… check out these two quilts. Ready TODAY!
