What an incredible joy and honor to spend another week teaching these lovely folks at the John C. Campbell Folk School. We had such a fun group, and spent a week making bowls, plates, and platters. Everyone was kind to each other (and to themselves!), and made incredible work. I feel very lucky to have spent a week getting to know them and teaching something I love in a place that I care for so deeply.

Spend the day learning to make these unique mugs with Ros O’Brien at Friendly City Clay! Open to both beginners and experienced potters, we’ll learn how to use darting to create unique shapes. You can follow along with this square-footed mug project, or explore your own shapes. Whether you’re a handbuilder or wheel thrower, this technique is a great way to expand the shapes you can make with your pots!

Bowls bowls bowls! These three bowls were made by Ros O'Brien Ceramics for our Empty Bowls fundraiser this weekend, in support of the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

Thanks to our community, we've raised over $3200 for our community, WOW. Tickets are sold out, but we hope to do this fundraiser again next year in February, so keep an eye out!
..And Ros is thinking she might need to make some more of these bowls for the this Winter. What do you think?
