These prompts are starting to make me realize just how many subjects I avoid, but maybe that's not such a bad thing. You can't improve if you avoid what you aren't good at.

This is probably not what they intended with this prompt, but it's where my mind went.
When I was maybe 6 years old, I overheard adults discussing dental crowns. I was very confused because this is what I imagined was going on in their mouths.

Day 2: Weave

So, I thought to myself, "Yeah, I got this," but then I messed up the initial outline, twice 😅 For these drawings, I put on a movie to listen to while I draw and once its over, finished or not, it's pencils down. So, it's more of a doodle than a drawing, but its still a weave ✔️

It's been a while since the move to Texas was a bit more chaotic than I anticipated, but has begun!

Day 1: Mustache
Well, I can't draw a facial hair, so I tried to do it in a way that makes that look intentional 😅

Well, everything made it to Texas safely, except our car. My husband high fived a deer as we headed out of Mississippi and it's totaled. Everyone is okay, except the deer. I'm heading back to Mississippi to finish up a few more house things and then I'll start unpacking the studio.

All of my kids went through the doodling on the walls phase, but this was the last, so I left it. Since we are moving, I decided that it's coming with us, though I'm pretty sure this is not what my husband intended when he gave me an occillating tool for Christmas 😂😅

I mentioned having to finish my house projects before the move, so I thought I'd share one of the big ones I finished last month.

Since I can't really picture things in my head, this was a 5 year "figure it out as I go" DIY project. Every year, I added and changed things, moving the walls around like Legos, until I figured out what made sense before doing the permanent install this summer.

I knew I wanted a vegetable garden and I needed to add drainage and correct the slope of the yard, so this was my solution.

It's been a few months since my last post because we are moving to Ft. Cavazos, TX.

Mississippi is the first place we've lived where we actually unpacked and made our house a home, so it's taking a while to finish up thr house projects and put all of our things back in boxes again. My studio is all packed up, so the only paint I'll be using over these few remaining weeks is going on the walls of my house.

I will have a space to work in our new home, so bare with me because this is not the end! I'm just prepping for a new chapter in my life. 🙂
