Before the journal comes to life… there’s this part. 😂✂️🍎

Cutting. Fussy cutting. Sorting pieces. Trying not to lose that ONE tiny piece I swear was just sitting right there.

I’m getting the Harvest Days Memory Junk Journal Folio ready to assemble, and this is one of my favorite stages because all those flat printable pieces are about to become pockets, flips, layers, and little surprises.

Next step: bringing it all together. 🍎

From a stack of printed pages… to the beginning of a junk journal. 🍎

Today I’m working on the Orchard Days Memory Junk Journal Folio, and we’ve reached the cutting stage!

This is one of those parts of creating that doesn’t look glamorous, but I actually love watching all those individual pieces start taking shape. Before long, this pile of paper will become pockets, pages, flips, journaling spots, and a finished fall memory journal.

And remember, you don’t have to finish an entire journal in one sitting. Print a few pages. Cut a few pieces. Make a pocket. Every little bit of creating counts.

A little fussy cutting tip that makes a big difference. ✂️

Instead of chasing the shape with your scissors, try keeping the scissors steadier and turning the paper as you go.

It gives you more control around curves and small details — and makes the whole process feel a lot less fiddly. 😄

The orchard gates are officially open, friends. ❤️

I have spent the past several weeks designing this collection around all the things I love about apple season: overflowing bushel baskets, country kitchens, Grandma’s handwritten recipes, vintage trucks, orchard stands, gingham, old barns and those warm colors that make fall feel like fall.

And this collection became BIG. 😄
