I have made the most amazing connections this weekend! I reached out to a local shop owner of Alice G’s Artworks and Delectables next to the Island Movie Theater on Main St, Chincoteague Island, Va. I am so proud to announce that my horseshoe crabs will be probably displayed for sale at one of our local shops on the island!! please come out and see the amazing array of local and regional artists to the eastern shore! I purchased one item today and placed an order for six more! I would love for everyone to have the opportunity to visit the island and come see their local shops! Tonight, I am putting the finishing touches on my artwork for this coming weekend’s Oyster Festival on Chincoteague Island Va. I have spent my “spare time”, preserving and decorating these fantastic horseshoe crab shells. With everything I do, I thank my sister Debbie Haas, a Breast Cancer Survivor. She started me in this direction many years ago and I will continue because I know she and I created something amazing and to my Sister Sue… My best customer… I know if she wants it,… it’s a great idea! You should proudly hang those horseshoe crabs! I am perusing this because of you!

The Shells of these amazing creatures have been preserved and decorated, sealed in resin and ready to hang in any area of your home that requires an attention seeking piece of artwork! These beautifully decorated horseshoe crabs are in the final stages and will be ready for their new homes this week. Their debut on Chincoteague Island over the Labor Day weekend was a success and I know a few people will be trying their own versions in the coming months, but if you want one of the original designs, please order now! All of these preserved painted decorated and resin horseshoe crabs have sold in just one day, actually one morning…, two of them never left my home… I had requests from the show and went hunting today for more specimens. The preservation process starts and some of them are already close to done thanks to nature…. I hope to come back for the oyster festival this fall!
