VENDOR SPOTLIGHT

We are happy to introduce a new-to-PurlSide vendor for 2027 - Heather of Sew Happy Jane!

Colorway collections that tell a story, ethically sourced base yarns that feel great and look beautiful over time, and thoughtful dye techniques that make your work shine; That’s The Sew Happy Jane Way.

Sew Happy Jane was born in 2017 in the kitchen of my 120-year-old music teaching studio space where I would sneak between teaching piano and voice lessons to test new colorways. From the beginning, I aimed to dye classic, wearable colors that resisted pooling and flashing, using yarns I enjoyed working with and wearing.

In 2020, I started sourcing domestically produced (U.S.) non-superwash yarns to round out my offerings and connect with domestic wool growers and producers. The SUSTAIN line of yarns continues to grow as I work with more and more mills and explore interesting sheep breeds.

You won't want to miss Heather's booth at PurlSide this year! Keep an eye out for another vendor spotlight coming soon!

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT
Another returning vendor this year is Mariah, of Knitted Niceties!

Mariah creates structured, pocket-friendly project bags, small-batch hand-dyed yarns and fibers, and 3D-printed spinning tools. Because every unique project deserves a special bag and a splash of color!

Mariah’s colors are beautiful and so lovely to work with! We hope you’ll follow her now and stop by to see her when we’re together in person in February!

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT
One of our returning vendors this year is Ashley of Goose and Ghost!

From Ashley: “Goose and Ghost makes project bags and accessories for fiber artists with a playful touch. Every single one of our products feature exclusive artwork that’s drawn and brought to life by Ashley, our very anxious leader and artist, to fully showcase how fun knitting and crochet is meant to be! We love color and whimsy and a silly little drawing on a project bag or accessory that can show off the fun side of each and every single person’s personality. These silly little drawings all come together to create fabric that we sew into handmade bags.”

Make sure to follow her now for sneak peaks into this year’s bags as the event gets closer. You’re going to want to visit her at PurlSide in February!

One of the benefits of our new PSFF location is that we have a lot more space for workshops during the fiber fest! We will be offering classes on Friday (during vendor set up), Saturday, and Sunday!

2027 PSFF UPDATE!

We have a new location for this year's PurlSide Fiber Festival. After lots of deliberation, we have moved our event just a few blocks down the street - to the Hermiston Community Center!

This venue offers expanded space for our marketplace, stitching and spinning area, and additional spaces for classes! Plus lots of parking space and easy accessibility to downtown restaurants!

We are really excited for this change, and hope you will be too! Our vendors are still being contacted, and we're excited to start announcing the lineup very soon!

What a weekend! It was so much fun to see everyone who joined us at PurlSide Fiber Fest this weekend. Thank you to each of you who attended!

Our vendors and our friends at Desert Fiber Arts donated some AMAZING prizes to our raffle this year, and we are so grateful! Because of their generosity, we were able to raise $650 for our local Vange John Memorial Hospice! Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the raffle this weekend!
