Celebrated another go around the sun in the Congaree! Not sure what it was, but I felt a tug to go to this place and stand amid the giants. The the old folk stories of the cypress knees being wood elves made the kiddos giggle — and fear that wood elves may come and get them. 😂 lots of rain added to the adventure — dappled with lions mane mushroom, banana spiders, and the sounds of owls.
