Apparently the paintbrush was feeling ambitious this morning because I also managed to paint our cute little Pig Kits! 🐷💕

They’ve officially gone from “sitting around waiting for me to paint them” to “look how adorable I am” and I’m not mad about it.

Better late than never… although I’m pretty sure these ducks have been judging me for an entire YEAR.

We released our Fall & Halloween Duck Kits LAST YEAR, and I finally got around to painting all 11 of them.

Eleven. Whole. Ducks.

They’ve been sitting there quietly watching me release new kits, paint new things, make workshop projects, go to fairs… all while whispering, “So… are you ever going to paint US?”

Well, ducks. You win. 😂

They are officially painted and ready for their fall debut — approximately 365 days after their original release.

Honestly, I think they’re just happy I finally stopped ignoring them.

🚨 WE HAVE A SHELF SPACE PROBLEM. 🚨

Like… a *literal* shelf space problem. 😂🪿

We’ve got SO many new DIY kits coming that the shelves are basically telling us, “Ma’am, we cannot hold one more thing.” So something has to go!

That means we’re discontinuing our 32 oz. Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint and putting all of our **in-stock colors at 30% OFF!** 🎨

🎃👻 WELL… HARRISON HAD A POINT.

I brought a set of our Halloween Girls home and proudly showed them off to my 5-year-old, and his response was:

“Mommy, they’re cute… but where are the boys?” 😂

Fair enough, buddy. You asked, and apparently, I needed to get to work.
So now, officially joining our Halloween Girls are the NEW Halloween Boys! 🎃

Well… THAT escalated quickly.

Last night’s workshop at the Attica Hotel started out pretty normally — ghosts, witch gnomes, Harvest Blessings signs, paintbrushes, snacks…

And then Mother Nature said, “Let’s make this interesting.”

Tornado Warning? 🚨🌪️
At a PAINTING WORKSHOP?!?!

But did our flock panic? Nope.
Did we keep painting? Absolutely.
Did we question our life choices just a little? Maybe. 😂

Despite the weather drama, our amazing painters persevered and finished some seriously adorable projects!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out and rolled with the unexpected adventure. Nothing says “girls’ night out” quite like painting a witch gnome while keeping an eye on the weather alerts. 😂

10/10 would recommend the painting.
0/10 recommend adding a tornado warning to the itinerary. 🌪️

We think everyone earned an extra feather for bravery last night! 🪿 Might take the top spot as Most Memorable Workshop Ever! 😆

I painted Read More Books using a traditional Halloween palette 🧡🖤💜 — because sometimes you just can’t beat the classics.

Then a customer came in this afternoon and painted Dead Set on Reading with a cozy Spooky Bookshop palette 📚🕯️🍂
