So, yesterday my neighbor called me in a panic.
He said, “I need your help. I think my wife is going to kill me.”
Naturally, I asked, “What did you do?”
He said, “I bought a new TV.”
I said, “Okay… that doesn’t sound murder-worthy.”
He said, “You don’t understand. She asked how much I paid.”
I said, “And?”
He whispered, “I told her.”
There was a long silence.
Then he said, “She looked at me and asked, ‘Did you buy it at ABC Warehouse?’”
I said, “No.”
He said, “Exactly.”
Apparently, the real crime wasn’t buying the TV.
It was paying too much for it.
