In case anyone's wondered why I haven't been present for a very long time, I've been busy reinventing myself the past couple of years.
I was contemplating retirement, then started a new career, my dream job, with a nonprofit helping families in crisis.
And I've launched into new paths of artistic expression. This is one of my current projects, learning how to use my new tapestry loom, making it up as I go along.

In 1972, when I was 9, my dad worked security for the Miss Wisconsin pageant, and I still have an autographed program from that year's Miss Wisconsin, who went on to be crowned Miss America.
Today at a vendor event I met the current Miss Wisconsin, a lovely young woman who was delighted by my story and gracious to be photographed with me.

I've been quiet for a very long time. Life has been full of challenges the past couple of years and creating art has been a low priority.
But these are two recent creations, a new direction for me.
